Primary renter must be at least 21 years of age. Guests may be asked to present their government-issued IDs upon arrival or anytime during their stay. Do not rent this unit for another party. The primary renter must be staying in the unit.

Built in 1847, the Childress House was once owned by Major John Childress, brother of First Lady Sarah Childress Polk, wife of President James K. Polk. Sarah Polk was known to visit the home. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the property carries nearly 180 years of local history. Portions of the home were converted into apartments during the 1930s, continuing its long residential story.

The Magnolia apartment is accessed by an exterior staircase at the rear of the property. Stairs are required to reach the apartment. Detailed arrival and entry instructions will be provided before your stay.
